John Lennon Biography

John Lennon began drawing long before he played music and continued to do so throughout his life. Lennon’s primary medium was line drawing either in pen, pencil, or Japanese sumi ink.  His original drawings are being collected by museums throughout the world and became illustrations for three best-selling books

He frequently collaborated with Yoko Ono.  At the time of his death, John had saved and preserved several hundred drawings that he considered important. His drawings are whimsical yet poetic and are a commentary on his everyday life, his wife Yoko and their son.
